Carval, the leading supplier of integrated HR and Payroll software to the social housing sector, is to offer its acclaimed Unity Online self-service software free-of-charge; to social housing management visitors who register for a demonstration and subsequently place an order. Unity Online delivers an accurate, easy and cost-effective web-based solution for updating employee records, managing HR processes and fulfilling employee information requests. The software which allows online data access to management and employees, as required, fully integrates with Carval’s HR Unity suite; combining HR, Payroll and Time Management into a single, integrated SQL database.
Full security is incorporated, in the self-service system, ensuring that the data can only be accessed by those authorised to do so. This gives both staff and management the confidence that any personal information held is well protected.
When installed with the Carval range, the self-service system’s online absence booking and authorisation tools automate the absence management process and manage the booking of Time Off In Lieu. In addition, the appraisal authorisation process can be completed online without the need for signing paper copies. Clocking, timesheet input, training requests and e-recruitment processes are also now accessible over the web. On the payroll side too, employees and management can now view full, payslip history online. P60 information can also be accessed and printed.
Carval’s comprehensive HR and Payroll range incorporates a number of features of particular importance in the social housing sector. These include tools to manage “Better Balance” and flexible working arrangements, including Time Off In Lieu, flexitime and compacted hours. The system also includes competencies & objectives management, online risk assessments, multi-posts, spinal column points and continuous service.
