Moneysuper­market.com has appointed Alan Cairns as director of human resources (HR). He will work on objective recruitment, staff development and employee communication. Previously, Cairns was group director of performance and capability at Littlewoods Shop Direct.

Accountancy firm Baker Tilly has promoted Sandra Snow to national HR director. She will be responsible for all areas of strategic and operational HR including people management, recruitment, development and reward. Previously, Snow was deputy HR director.

Penny Stoker has been appointed vice-president, global HR services at healthcare business AstraZeneca. She will oversee the development and implementation of HR processes and improved technologies. Stoker was previously vice-president, organisation and management development, with pharmaceutical firm Amersham.
