Shaftesbury Housing Group has appointed Caroline Ottaway-Searle (pictured) as group director of organisational development, with accountability for developing the group’s corporate HR strategy as the organisation goes through a period of significant change. Her former position was HR director for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Margaret Salmon has been reappointed for a two-year term as chair of the Sector Skills Development Agency. The appointment will see Salmon retain her role until February 2007. Salmon has held the position of chair since April 2002 and has wide experience of both the retail and media sectors.
RAC Auto Windscreens, the automotive glazing repair company, has appointed Sarah Scullion to its board as HR director. Based at the company’s head office in Chesterfield, Scullion has a national remit which encompasses 1,800 employees. She joins from Marks & Spencer, where she held the role of head of HR for retail change.
Malcolm Philip has joined charity Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health as its new director of workforce development. He worked as an independent consultant in HR since 1999, prior to which he was director of HR at the Bethlem and Maudsley NHS Trust for five years.
