On the move: Brian Whittaker, Andrew Newall and Siobhan O’Malley

Brian Whittaker has joined housing association Aster Group as its first group HR director. His job will involve HR, organisational development, internal communications, health and safety, and payroll. Previously, Whittaker was HR director at PT Specialist Retailing (owners of Little Chef and Burger King).

Snack manufacturer United Biscuits has appointed Andrew Newall as group HR director. He will lead all aspects of the HR function. Prior to joining, he was vice-president of HR international for Beam Global Spirits & Wine.

The University of Leeds has appointed Siobhan O’Malley as diversity trainer. She will be responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of equality and diversity training and development provision. O’Malley was previously equality and diversity manager at the university.
