by Tara Craig 28 May 2008

Inji Duducu has been appointed HR director, UK and Northern Europe, by life assistance providers CPP, having previously been head of HR at HBOS Insurance. As part of CPP’s UK leadership team, Duducu will have a broad HR remit including people strategy, payroll and operational training.

Carl Smith has joined Novotel London West in Hammersmith as head of HR, having most recently been training and talent manager at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. In his new role, Smith will be placing a strong emphasis on communication with employees and on keeping the HR function well-structured and efficiently organised.

Aster Group has appointed Rachel Broome as head of learning and development. This is a new position, and Broome will be responsible for developing it across Aster’s six companies. Broome joined the group from Salisbury District Council, where she headed up the training and development function.
