Orgscale launches HR web applications for SMEs

by Personnel Today 26 Mar 2010
by Personnel Today 26 Mar 2010

Orgscale Limited, founded by veteran Cambridge entrepreneurs, Adam Twiss and Bryan Amesbury, has launched a new set of web-based applications aimed at the small to medium sized enterprise.

The initial suite of applications aim to significantly reduce the time and complexity in such back office functions as human resources and finance. The initial set of applications give SME’s access to full featured HR Database, absence management, performance management and recruitment automation systems. These applications not only enable SMEs to adopt best practice with respect to managing their staff, the system also ensures the data is safe and secure with all records being securely backed up in a number of locations.

Adam Twiss, co-founder of Orgscale commented: “Having founded and built a number of businesses over the years, we’ve experienced first hand, a lot of the pain people face when trying to scale and manage a company. With Orgscale, we’re combining lessons we’ve learnt with our IT credentials and the latest developments in technology to provide effective solutions to businesses. Our first solution set is aimed at HR, as more often that not, employees are one of the largest costs of a business and so making the most out of them is key.”

In addition, Orgscale is pleased to announce three partnerships which have been formed to provide Orgscale customers with the highest quality professional advice on employment law, HR advice and support and employee benefits- areas many SME’s struggle to fully understand.

Through it’s partnership with leading law firm, Mills & Reeve LLP, Orgscale’s customers will be able to access information on the latest developments in employment law, written in plain English, allowing customers to better navigate this increasingly complex field.

David Mills, employment law partner at Mills & Reeve said: “We’re very pleased to be involved with Orgscale. We pride ourselves on helping businesses to not only adopt best practice but help them get the most out of their employees too. Partnering with Orgscale we feel compliments this ethos.”

The partnership with Savvy HR has given Orgscale the HR expertise and real world experience of making HR practices work in small to medium businesses. Kerry Girling, Managing Director said; “ For us the partnership with Orgscale is a logical fit with the support and advice we offer to businesses. Having a system that aids administrative efficiencies in the function allows HR to focus on more important initiatives and issues.”

And in teaming up with Independent Financial Advisors, Absolute Sense, Orgscale’s customers will be able to access detailed information and advice on benefits programs, enabling its customers to bring together a suite of incentives which will retain and motivate their staff.

Peter Waggitt, Managing Director of Absolute Sense said “With employee benefits becoming a hot topic in these turbulent economic times, we see partnering with Orgscale as an important part of our offering to businesses.”

About Orgscale

Orgscale’s background is one of building some of the largest and most secure web infrastructures in the world. Its founders also built companies from two people in a room to several hundred employees with offices around the world and dealt with the numerous challenges that caused. Through this first hand experience Orgscale knows the issues that come with running small and large businesses alike and from that has been born a desire to build a suite of simple, secure and effective web based applications which would enable businesses of any size to streamline its back office functions, benefiting from the related cost savings and efficiencies which can be achieved.
