Rail
workers are being encouraged to call a confidential hotline set up by police
investigating the fatal crash at Potters Bar.
The
police are concerned that many employees were afraid to tell the full truth
during official interviews because of the presence of company lawyers.
Railtrack
and Jarvis sent legal representatives with staff being interviewed about safety
breeches on the line because the companies were being investigated and could be
prosecuted.
The
British Transport Police are still looking at the derailment at Potters Bar in
May which killed seven people and injured 70 more.
