PPMA appoints HR chiefs as lead officers

The Public Sector People Managers’ Association (PPMA) has appointed three HR chiefs as lead officers to direct its work on key areas of HR management.

Martin Rayson, director of resources at Boston Borough Council, has been appointed lead officer for HR transformation.

Jack Markiewicz, director of HR and change at Swindon Borough Council – who until recently was the lead on pensions – has taken over as the lead officer for talent management.

Lastly, Janice Joannou, head of organisational development at the London Borough of Croydon, is now lead officer on diversity.

PPMA president Stephen Moir said: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of these talented, skilled and committed people who, I am sure, will make an immediate and positive contribution to the work of the PPMA. Our lead officers give up their time to provide thought leadership and insight into their specialist area and help shape the overall approach of the PPMA.”

The PPMA represents the interests of more than 850 members working across the people management and development professions within the public sector.
