by Personnel Today 5 May 2009

Savile Group plc, the AIM listed human resources consulting group, has opened an office in Edinburgh from which to provide outplacement, career and talent management (coaching and mentoring) services to companies throughout Scotland. Located in the city’s St Colme Street in the new town, the office is headed by Chris Perkins, Business Development Director for Scotland who last year joined Fairplace, Savile Group’s outplacement business unit, from one of the world’s largest providers of outplacement services.

Chris has nine years experience in HR consulting in the US and UK. He spent his early career in retail management with Dixons. Chris holds a BA (Hons) First Class in marketing from the University of Stirling. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development.

Jonathan Cohen, Chairman of Savile Group, said: “We are now in a strong position through Fairplace to provide the high quality outplacement services which will increasingly be required by Scottish financial institutions and other organisations as they shed employees. Our Scottish team under Chris Perkins will also be focusing on delivering the full range of talent management services provided through our IDDAS and Cedar brands.”
