Staff value business ethics

Employees
want their bosses to show genuine leadership qualities rather than the
traditional management traits, according to research.

The
report found that the economic downturn, corporate scandal and shrinking
budgets have led to a shift in what staff expect from their employers.

One
of the most desired skills is business ethics with staff looking to business
leaders to ‘do the right thing’ and consider the long- term repercussions of
their decisions.

The
research of 700 workers by training consultancy AchieveGlobal found that the
most popular traits were collaboration, creativity, skill, vision and an
awareness of how their behaviour affects others.
