The Ecologist online launches premium environmental job board

by Personnel Today 1 Sep 2008
by Personnel Today 1 Sep 2008

The Ecologist, the world’s leading environment magazine announces the launch of its ethical job board EcologistRecruitment.

This new service provides companies with a direct link to a large and growing pool of knowledgeable and committed individuals across all walks of life and professions representing a quick and easy way to short circuit an increasingly competitive recruitment sector.

The Ecologist has teamed up with Brainhunter to add a fully functional job board service for its readership to provide them with access to real-time quality opportunities and employers to professionals who are committed to environmental and ethical issues and to driving long-term change.

The site offers recruitment firms and employers the opportunity to post all their environmental job vacancies, and in time, access to the database of professional talent that will build.

The Ecologist wanted a job board technology that provided an exceptional candidate experience to enhance and protect the relationship with the Ecologist’s readership.

The team chose Brainhunter because they are specialists in supporting professional bodies and their technology includes three major features that others don’t; namely matching applicant profiles to the job specification to create “A” and “B” matching lists for each opportunity, the highest level of personal identity security features available and four sided branded templates for premium advertising clients to add visual stimulus to each job posting and showcase their employer brand and key messaging”.

EcologistRecruitment will follow the quality not quantity philosophy of all Brainhunter powered job boards and will focus on benchmarking its performance by successful hires not by how many jobs it can attract.

Colin Minto, Managing Director, Recruiting Technology Solutions, Brainhunter commented:

“Quality recruiters and employers need their online talent advertising partners to take more responsibility over the quality and relevancy of candidates they provide. They want premium advertising positioning and do not want their job opportunities buried within a myriad of others of differing quality.

“In addition, job seekers want access to relevant and current opportunities and be safe in the knowledge that the release of their personal data is in their hands. EcologistRecruitment, operated in partnership with Brainhunter aims to deliver against these needs and has a proven track record by powering in excess of 130 CareerSite’s globally”.
