The Professional Career Partnership (PCP) Appoints Senior Consultant

by Personnel Today 6 Feb 2009
by Personnel Today 6 Feb 2009

The Professional Career Partnership (PCP), the specialist career and coaching consultancy to the legal and professional services sectors, has appointed Julian Tutty to the role of Senior Consultant. The appointment is in response to growing demand within the legal profession for the provision of career consultancy services – particularly during the current economic downturn.

Julian comes to PCP from Allen & Overy, one of the world’s leading international law firms, where he was Global Head of Performance, Learning and Development. Julian will be tasked with working across PCP’s full range of services including career transition, career management and specialist coaching. Julian will also help further develop PCP’s consultancy arm, which supports legal and other professional services firms in developing the potential and increasing the motivation of their workforce.

In his position at Allen & Overy, Julian spearheaded the design and implementation of Allen & Overy’s global development programmes and partner selection processes as well as working one-to one with staff at all levels. Julian was also instrumental in establishing a career management programme and coaching centre for Allen & Overy associates.

Said Jayne Welsh, one of the founding Directors of PCP:

“We are very pleased to have attracted someone of Julian’s calibre and experience and his appointment represents a major milestone in our growth.”

“At a time of considerable challenges to the legal and professional services sectors, with many firms facing significant restructuring, Julian’s top level law firm experience will provide PCP with even greater insight into the issues facing partners, associates and support staff in these firms. It will also strengthen our complete career and coaching consultancy offering to affected individuals.”

Julian Tutty continues:

“I am delighted to be joining such a well respected business as PCP and to be contributing to the important work they are doing. The team’s ‘can do’ attitude, their comprehensive career and coaching support service, and their impressive track record in the industry, including the senior level legal experience of the team, made my decision to join an easy one.”

PCP provides specialist career and coaching consultancy services to the legal and professional services sectors. PCP clients include 18 of the UK’s top 20 law firms and all of the Magic Circle firms.
