Volkswagen
will employ 50,000 long-term unemployed Germans on the condition that they work
for free if production falls behind schedule.
The
new staff member will earn less and have more flexible hours than current
employees.

‘5,000 by 5,000’ dubbed because the 5,000 new workers will eventually earn Dm
5,000 (£1,608) a month before tax, will fill roles ranging from metal workers
to shop assistants, according to the Daily Telegraph.
