A FTSE 100 company’s reshuffle has seen two senior members leave and its group and UK HR departments merged.
Wolseley UK, a leading building materials distributor, yesterday replaced its managing and HR directors.
Bob Morrison, group HR director has now taken on the responsibilities of Wolseley UK HR director, Bob Mason.
“I am delighted to take up the opportunity of standardising best practice approaches and improving efficiencies across our HR functions in the UK and the rest of Europe,” Morrison told Personnel Today.
Prior to joining Wolseley in April 2007, Morrison spent five years as senior vice-president of HR and operations for Blockbuster Inc. He also served as vice-president of HR for Burger King International between 1986 and 1994.

Rob Marchbank, chief executive of Wolseley Europe, also replaces Nigel Sibley, as managing director for Wolseley UK.
The UK represents about one-fifth of Wolseley’s £16bn turnover, but accounts for more than half of its operating profit as its US division continues to struggle. Last week, Wolseley announced it has axed 6,000 jobs and scrapped plans to pay out a final dividend to shareholders.
