TalentDrain appoints non-executive director

by Personnel Today 16 Sep 2008
by Personnel Today 16 Sep 2008

TalentDrain, the employee engagement and retention specialist, has appointed Neil Twogood as its first non-executive director.

The company, whose clients include Ernst & Young, NSPCC and Unilever, provides online employee engagement surveys, exit questionnaires and consultancy services which enable organisations to increase employee commitment and cut their staff turnover.

Neil Twogood has 20 years’ pan-European experience in financial management, mergers & acquisitions, sales & marketing, general management and production.

He is currently Chief Operations Officer at business coaching and coach education specialist Performance Consultants, where he provides one-to-one coaching, team coaching, consultancy services and leadership development.

Prior to this, he spent six years as Commercial Director and latterly Chief Operations Officer at psychometric assessment company PSL.

After starting his career as a Financial Analyst at industrial materials and manufacturing company Morgan Crucible, he co-founded and ran a telecoms services company for five years.

The business was acquired by Esprit Telecom and Neil became their Director of Product Development.

He then became European Sales Director for US-based telecoms group GTS when it bought Esprit Telecom.

“Our growth and development over the past year made it clear that we needed to appoint a non-executive director and I’m delighted that Neil has agreed to join us,” said Ron Eldridge, Director of TalentDrain.

“Neil brings an impressive track record and immense industry, financial and international expertise, having operated in highly competitive markets. His insight, experience and strategic thinking will be an asset to the company and I very much look forward to working with him as we continue to grow and develop our business offering.”

A chartered accountant (ACA), Neil Twogood holds a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter.

He is an Advanced Coaching Practitioner with a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching & Organisational Development from the University of Portsmouth.

Commenting on his appointment, he said:

“TalentDrain is a well-run business with a great reputation, top quality products and an expanding client base, so this is an exciting time to be joining the company. I have tremendous respect for the people at TalentDrain, and the service they provide, and I hope that my experience and fresh perspective will help to shape the company’s future and maintain its high standards.”
