SERGEANT MAJORS ON THATCHER… Former ITN political editor John Sergeant entertained delegates with tales of political intrigue at the latest Personnel Today HR Directors Club breakfast briefing, held at the Queen’s Club in London last week.

Sergeant told HR directors of his fondness for former Downing Street spin doctor Alastair Campbell, and his “near perfect day” for having “annoyed” Margaret Thatcher and George Bush senior in one sitting in 1989.
