Part of the issue is that nearly everyone, beyond equality and diversity managers and perhaps HR, simply struggle to understand what it’s all about. Just trying to explain it can be difficult.
The issue needs clarification and simplification. And people need to see it as not just a tick in the box, but one that will help the organisation as a whole.
