Cyborg, the HR and payroll management software provider, has rebranded as Accero. The new brand will encompass the core software product Accero Cyborg Solution, human capital management consultancy services and outsourcing capability. The decision to rebrand follows a change in ownership of Cyborg Systems. Vista Equity Partners, the US private equity firm, has bought Cyborg Systems from Hewitt.
The rebrand to Accero follows a period of review and the appointment of Chris Els as managing director to head up the UK operation.
Chris Els said: “This is an exciting time for Accero – we have a major financial backer and we plan to invest heavily in developing our core software product over the coming year. Accero has a strong and respected history in the payroll industry.”
The management team at Accero is strong, well funded and passionate. Furthermore it is underpinned by an established and uniquely qualified employee base.

“Accero is well positioned to grow in the UK market,” added Chris Els, “We are currently developing new functionality into our product which will layer innovative business tools on top of a best of breed payroll and HR administration system. We have introduced a range of delivery models, ranging from client server to on demand SaaS service models supported out of state of the art data centres with disaster recovery and business continuity capability. To this end, we’re expanding our own headcount to enable us to deliver an even better service to our clients”. Accero is based at First Point, Gatwick.
