by Personnel Today 20 Apr 2007

Personnel expert and managing director of BusinessHR David Lennan will be a speaker during the Topaz customer day on 14 June at the award winning facilities of Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire.

Lennan is the chairman of the IT Forum Foundation and has enjoyed a career in both the private and public sectors, holding executive roles, in national business representative organisations, local government, financial services and human resource development.

His career activities have included chief executive of the Agricultural Industries Confederation and director general of The British Chambers of Commerce.

As a director of Surrey County Council, he led the modernisation programme and during his time with the NatWest Group his roles included head of UK development, deputy director of personnel and director of retail insurance. He is also chairman of the national charity Pilot Light and has been closely involved with the development of the Work Wise UK initiative.

Having held personnel director roles in several organisations, he passes on his wealth of knowledge to help businesses to create growth and productivity improvement.

His current aim is to utilise his experience to develop BusinessHR into a leading provider of personnel services to the business community.

“We’re delighted to have David Lennan as one of our specialist speakers for our Customer Day as he will bring a wealth of knowledge and business growth expertise to the event,” says Paul Ross, Topaz account manager.

The ever popular Topaz customer day is being hosted for the first time at Whittlebury Hall, which is situated next to the international Silverstone Racing Circuit and has achieved the Large Hotel of the Year and Best Hotel Spa titles.

During the customer day there will be –

• Prominent individual speakers in HR, payroll and finance
• Customer awards ceremony
• Product updates showcasing great new functionality
• Mini expo including stands from leading Topaz partners and suppliers

Topaz is also providing strictly limited places for a round of golf or alternatively, for those customers who feel like being pampered, treatments in an ‘Exclusive Health Spa’ at the event.
