The number of outstanding job vacancies in the City in January almost trebled compared to the same month in 2004.
Research from headhunter Morgan McKinley shows there were 9,198 vacancies last month compared to 3,481 in January last year, reports the Financial Times.
More than half of employees questioned said they planned to change jobs now annual bonuses have been paid, against 61% before the payouts.

City salaries rose by 2.37% in January to £46,113, the research found.
