Firms urged to stress driving safety to staff

Companies are being
urged to stress the importance of safe driving to staff as part of Road Safety
Week – which starts today.

Brake – the organisation that runs Road Safety
Week – wants to see managing directors remind staff about safety with memos and
newsletters.

Mary Williams, the chief executive of Brake,
said: "Part of good risk management practice in companies is ensuring that
the hearts and minds of employees are won over to safety. Safety has to be a
company-wide commitment to work."
