Global strategic appointments for international payroll firm Patersons

by Personnel Today 8 May 2007
by Personnel Today 8 May 2007

Three new staff have joined international payroll software and services firm Patersons, in the company’s drive to cement its global reach. The move follows hard on the heels of the opening of its new offices in the US and Singapore earlier in 2007, as part of its global expansion.

David Foote joins as principal HR consultant, Gary Figgins is global delivery manager and Richard Wright takes the post of global training manager.

Karen Paterson, group CEO, comments, “The new appointments will supplement the company’s existing international management team at this exciting phase of our international development.

“Patersons is leading the way in global HR and payroll solutions through its web-based solution, Logon2. A recent innovation conference made the point that software as a service companies (those that typically provide software over the internet using an application service provider model) are valued at twice that of companies which rely on the traditional software licensing model.

“Industry analysts estimate revenue from software as a service was $2 billion in 2006, up from $1.5 billion the previous year and that it’s growing at more than 20%, compared with traditional software’s single-digit growth. Patersons’ turnover has grown by 200% in 2006/07 and with our rapid expansion we expect to very quickly become the leading software as a service company globally in HR and payroll.”

Patersons’ headquarters is in Salisbury, UK with additional offices in the US and Asia.
