WDR, a Horsham based leading provider of training and consultancy, held an open forum on Wednesday 14th October to discuss the most effective ways of delivering the right training in a downturn, and how to deliver efficiencies in training in a tough economy. WDR invited a number of representatives from businesses across an array of sectors from the South East to join the debate. Attendees included representatives from charities, financial institutions, the legal profession, local government, travel, airline and pharmaceutical industries. The forum provided an opportunity for Learning & Development professionals to discuss particular challenges and difficulties that they have been faced with regarding training in the current climate and also to share best practice and practical ideas to take away and implement.
Christina Dennis, Director of WDR commented on the morning event: “Many attendees found it helpful to discuss the importance of aligning training strategies with business needs and objectives which is crucial for demonstrating focus and ROI.”
The next WDR Forum will be February 2010 and details will be available from the WDR website towards the end of 2009.
