Interserve, the international services, maintenance and building group, is re-shaping its employer branding and recruitment processes across the Group through the application of StepStone Solutions Talent Acquisition. Interserve expects to improve the experience of the thousands of candidates that apply for its vacancies each year through the recruitment data and insight gained from the new system. Interserve receives roughly 1,500 applications per month and has 250 positions available at any one time.
Interserve expects to complete the roll-out in early 2011. StepStone Solutions Talent Acquisition, a SaaS-based system, will run across all divisions of Interserve ensuring a consistent and efficient recruitment process for all applicants.
Interserve’s Head of HR Shared Services, Susan Blakeway says; “Talent is crucial within our organisation. The issue we had was managing the sheer volume of applications we receive. In addition to cutting workload, the insights we’ll gain from the recruitment metrics in the StepStone Solutions system will make a major difference in who we recruit and how we go about filling available positions.”
Interserve expects to improve the time and cost per hire for each candidate, while harnessing the recruitment intelligence StepStone Solutions Talent Acquisition can provide. For example, the system can provide insight into where candidates are applying from, enabling more targeted advertising and more informed communications. In the future, Interserve will also be able to use the information to create talent pools for further hiring activity and easily manage recruitment with an ‘equal opportunity’ approach at the forefront of its hiring policy.
Matthew Parker, CEO of StepStone Solutions adds: “Interserve’s story is a great example of how our talent acquisition platforms can solve recruitment inefficiencies and provide the foundations for more informed HR processes. Having these in place will not only allow them to attract and recruit the right talent but will enhance Interserve’s employer brand – something which will help Interserve stand out as a global employer of choice.”
