Liverpool refuse collectors and street cleaners are set to strike from Friday after talks about pay and bonuses between Enterprise Liverpool and GMB union leaders broke down, the Liverpool Echo has reported.
The strike will start at midnight and will disrupt rubbish collections, street and highway clearing and streetlight maintenance.
Enterprise managers said they were hugely disappointed that representatives from GMB had walked away from the negotiations.

But GMB spokesman Dave Hulse said: “After initially agreeing to consolidate bonuses into salary, which led to the suspension of the industrial action, Enterprise has reneged on the agreement.
“The action, consisting of an overtime ban, work-to-rule and selective strike action, will be continuous and will affect refuse collection, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, highways maintenance and streetlighting maintenance.”
