Monster UK – five million registered users and counting

Monster UK has announced that it now has over five million users on the Monster website – which equates to around 40% of the online job seeking population in the UK. 

In the last year, one million accounts have been opened on the site. Monster UK is the leading provider of online careers and recruitment resources.
 
“Reaching the five million user mark is a real success story for Monster and this strong growth highlights the ever increasing significance that job seekers are attaching to online recruitment services”, commented Julian Acquari, Managing Director of Monster UK and Ireland.

“As the UK economy continues to slow, employers are choosing to advertise vacancies online and job seekers are turning to the internet to upload their CVs and search for positions.

“The range of jobs advertised on the site and the depth in talent that Monster can provide employers is what sets the company apart.”
 
A poll of 40,000 online jobseekers by NORAS in 2008 shows nine percent exclusively using the internet to search for work – which is a 50 percent increase on last year.
