Women
hoping to return to work after a long time away are being given the chance to
brush up their skills through work experience placements at Marks &
Spencer.
The
retailer is piloting a scheme that will give 25 people the chance to refresh
and develop their employment skills over the course of a three-week placement.
The
initiative is supported by charities One Parent Families and Parentline Plus
and will operate at stores in Croydon, Leeds, Liverpool and Sutton Coldfield.

If
the trial proves successful M&S will roll-out a further 175 placements.
