Arthur Jones has been named Human Resources Interim Manager of the Year 2005 for his role as director of HR for the Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
Jones won the award, given by UK interim management specialist Praxis, for his work “transforming the HR directorate” at the NHS trust.
Iain Tulley, chief executive of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust, said Jones had ensured that the right people were in place to deliver the NHS agenda.
“It was sometimes difficult to remember that Arthur was an interim appointment given his commitment and efforts,” he said. “What will remain with us, is how effective he was in identifying some of the key issues and very consciously focusing on them to ensure that real progress and strides were made in resolving long standing issues.”
