Polestar Sheffield printing staff accept pay deal and avert strike

Polestar Sheffield staff have voted in favour of a three-year pay deal, avoiding the threat of industrial action.

The offer was tabled by the printing company in a last-minute bid to avoid a ballot for industrial action, according to Print Week. The offer was accepted by 79% of Unite members at the site.

Vernon Robson, Unite national officer, said: “This is a sensible agreement, which brings stability to the company and workforce and reflects the willingness of both parties to work together.”
