Verifile acquires Tigerbrook employment screening division

Verifile, Europe’s leading background screening company today announced its acquisition of Tigerbrook’s employment screening division.

Verifile’s acquisition comes on top of rapid organic growth through 2008. Through the economic gloom Verifile has continued to be a success story.

Tigerbrook’s employment screening division currently serves over 50 blue-chip companies, including many household names. Tigerbrook sold the division in order to focus on other service offerings.

Verifile will take over the provision of the employment screening service to Tigerbrook’s former clients from 1st November 2008.

Bill Hood, managing director of Tigerbrook says,

“We were determined to make sure that our clients continued to receive a high standard of service, and therefore we met with a number of companies to evaluate their services, capabilities, clients and the way they work. 

“Verifile stood out as the company who offered the best all round employment screening service. I am confident that Verifile will look after our clients and give a good service going forward.” 

Eyal Ben-Cohen, Verifile’s managing director comments,

“We are pleased to complete this deal and offer our services to Tigerbrook’s clients. We are positive that all of our clients, both current and new, will benefit from the added capabilities that our enlarged group will have. For example, our new clients will be able to immediately take advantage of our international screening expertise.”

“We have been working closely with our Tigerbrook colleagues to ensure a seamless transition of the service to Verifile,” explains Ben-Cohen. “Our focus is on making sure that clients go on receiving an excellent service.”

As stories of fake CVs proliferate in the press, employers are becoming increasingly aware of the huge difficulties that they face when it comes to managing candidate vetting in-house.

As a result, more and more organisations are outsourcing employee screening to specialist providers like Verifile.
