Yum! Brands selects Kenexa to support recruiting initiatives in China

Kenexa’s 2x BrassRing e-recruitment system will help Yum! to recruit staff for all of its brands, including KFC and Pizza Hut, in China

Kenexa (NASDAQ:KNXA), a global provider of business solutions for human resources, is building a new e-recruitment system to help Yum! Brands, the world’s largest quick-serve restaurant group, to source, track and recruit managers, professionals and ‘crew members’ for all of its brands, including KFC and Pizza Hut, in China.

Mainland China is Yum! Brands’ number one market worldwide for new restaurant development. The group already has over 3,000 KFC restaurants, 500 Pizza Hut restaurants and over 100 Pizza Hut Delivery stores, in more than 650 cities and towns.

Kenexa’s 2x BrassRing system is an e-recruitment, applicant tracking and talent management system that enables organisations to manage large volumes of applicants, locate and track talented people through the hiring process, and select and onboard right-fit candidates.

Christabel Lo, Chief People Officer of Yum! Brands’ China Division, said: “KFC continues to be the number one quick-service restaurant brand and the fastest growing restaurant chain in mainland China. Pizza Hut is also the number one casual dining brand in China. We believe in our people, trust in their positive intentions and encourage their ideas. Working with Kenexa gives us the opportunity to source the right candidates for our management trainee, crew and professional job openings using the latest technology and best practices.”

Rudy Karsan, Kenexa’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Yum! has built a culture that’s filled with energy, opportunity and fun. Their rapid expansion in China is an exciting testimonial to their global appeal and Kenexa is honoured to be supporting their growth with our 2x BrassRing solution.”

Karsan continued: “Kenexa has a long-standing relationship with Yum! Brands as we’ve helped to implement a 360-feedback survey to better understand the strengths of its workforce and communicate back to individuals about specific career development opportunities. Yum! is an excellent example of a Kenexa client that is leveraging the breadth of our integrated solutions.”

A global HR technology recruiting solution, Kenexa 2x BrassRing is highly configurable and scalable, meeting the needs of companies with complex, decentralised recruiting processes or multinational organisations with multilingual requirements. The system can integrate Kenexa’s employee assessments, enabling job candidates to be assessed directly within the recruiting solution workflow, eliminating the need to switch between applications
