New research has confirmed that for the third year running, Milkround.com was the most widely-used graduate recruitment website at the UK’s leading universities during the 2009-2010 recruitment season.

The UK Graduate Careers Survey 2010, produced by High Fliers Research, was based on face-to-face interviews with 16,114 final year students at 30 key universities in March. It confirms that a record 41 per cent of finalists used Milkround.com during their job search in 2009-2010.

Milkround.com was used by three percent more finalists compared to last year, increasing its lead over nearest competitor Prospects which was used by 32 percent of finalists. TARGETjobs was used by 19 percent.

The figures also revealed Milkround.com is a vital job hunting tool for students. Nearly nine out of 10 finalists (87 percent) who used Milkround.com rated it “useful” or “very useful” – up seven percent on the same figure last year.

Sales Director, Jenni Wollerton said: “It’s a testament to everyone at Milkround.com that we have not just maintained our position as number one, but also increased the number of finalists who use our service. A competitive jobs market means students and graduates need to be thinking about their careers sooner – Milkround.com is a vital tool for finalists to ensure they get their careers off to the best possible start.”

As well as being top for candidates, the website achieved a near 100 percent approval rating from clients in its annual Customer Feedback Survey. Milkround Online is refreshing Milkround.com with a focus on building on its strengths of connecting the UK’s top graduate talent with the UK’s best employers.

Jenni Wollerton explained: “We’re building on our successes with a new site which will be tailored to candidate and client needs. To ensure every tweak and change is made to perfection, candidates will be asked for their feedback and be part of the testing process to incorporate their thoughts on what makes a graduate recruitment website so helpful. Clients will also get the chance to input into the designs to help enhance branding opportunities and ensure our graduate recruitment solutions are the best in the business.
