Arriva appoints HR director to bus and rail divisions

Bus and train operator Arriva has announced that Rachel Baldwin has become its new HR director in the UK.

Working as part of Arriva’s UK bus and rail senior leadership teams, the company said that Baldwin will drive forward employee engagement and culture change through a coordinated people strategy to ensure all employees are focused on delivering Arriva’s long-term business strategy.

“Joining the transport industry is an exciting new journey for me,” said Baldwin. “Arriva’s impressive growth and transport vision brings new opportunities where I can use the skills and expertise I have developed in the food manufacturing sector, which is also customer focused and market responsive.

“Whether it’s a dairy or a depot, businesses are about people. I am looking forward to ensuring our people and business strategies are embedded into the way our employees work every day.”
