Mervyn Burnett, GMB senior organiser said: “Obviously we are pleased with the announcement as GMB members will have some financial security over Christmas and into the New Year. This will not however deflect GMB members’ campaign to keep production on the Treorchy site on a permanent basis and our campaign to “Keep Burberry British” will continue.”
The world-famous Burberry brand was established in the UK in 1856.
