International recruitment consultancy named one of top 20 ‘Great Places to Work’

by Personnel Today 2 Jun 2009

Following a comprehensive survey of its employees, Huxley Associates was delighted to learn that it had placed at number 17 in the list, which is compiled by the ‘Great Places to Work Institute.’

This is the firm’s highest position to date, and this fantastic achievement means that it joins a small group of companies to have featured in the top 40 for six consecutive years.

The institute defines a ‘Great Place to Work’ as a company in which employees “trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.” The recruitment consultancy was honoured and recognised at the UK’s Best Workplaces 2009 Awards Ceremony, which was held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 21st May.

Tom O’Byrne, Chief Executive Officer for the Great Place to Work Institute, said: “We at the institute would like to express our sincere congratulations and thank everyone at Huxley Associates for championing excellence in people management and workplace culture.”

This year Huxley Associates has also already reached the finals of the European Business Awards and was named as a ‘Top Employer’ in Germany and The Netherlands.

Mike Smith, Managing Director of Huxley Associates, said: “I’m delighted that Huxley Associates has been named as a Great Place to Work for the 6th consecutive year – it’s a fantastic achievement.

“These are undoubtedly testing times for UK businesses, but we believe it is vitally important to continue to invest in our people so that we can progress their careers and develop future leaders. The success of the company to date can be attributed to the strength of the people it employs and the ‘Great Places to Work’ and ‘Top Employers’ awards have proved to be extremely effective in attracting the very best individuals to apply.”

Huxley Associates provides exceptional permanent and contract recruitment services to the Accountancy and Finance, Banking Technology, Engineering, Global Markets, IT, and Human Resources sectors. The company recruits ambitious and motivated people to join its offices all over the world.
