Supermarket giant Somerfield is to outsource the payroll and people information services for its 44,000 UK employees to HR provider Ceridian.
The seven-year deal – involving the transfer of 41 Somerfield employees under the TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment)) regulations – covers 17 processes across 900 stores.
Somerfield group people director Karan Paige said: “We chose Ceridian as our partner due to the strength of its people, its experience in payroll services and its fit with our culture and values.
