Healthcare plans and additional holiday have overtaken company cars as the most popular employee benefits, research reveals.
A survey of 100 employers and 400 staff, commissioned by BT Home Computing, shows that only 20% of employees put a company car in their top three benefits.
In contrast, healthcare was selected as a top-three benefit by 41% of respondents and additional holiday by 23% of respondents.

One in three employees said benefits were an important factor in their choice of employer, while 90% said they considered benefits when deciding whether to accept a job.
BT people networks manager, Becky Mason, said: “The appeal of traditional high-status offerings such as company cars is waning, to be replaced by benefits that better reflect the priorities of modern life.”
