Michael C. Fina launches instant recognition with new SPARK range

by Personnel Today 8 Sep 2009

Michael C. Fina, the world’s first global reward and recognition company, is launching the SPARK instant rewards range, a new employee rewards solution designed for on-the-spot recognition in the workplace.

Available as either a gift card or as voucher cheques, SPARK rewards have been designed to provide organisations with a simple and effective means of offering their staff instant, personalised rewards that require the least possible operative or administrative management by the employer.

SPARK rewards can be themed to celebrate a range of different occasions, including birthdays, longservice anniversaries or the birth of a new baby to a member of staff, or to acknowledge achievements, good practice and examples of employees going beyond the call of duty in the workplace.

Sheila Sheldon, director of European operations at Michael C. Fina, commented: ”The idea was to introduce a simple method for employers to acknowledge staff achievements and anniversaries with on-the-spot rewards that could be easily administered and redeemed. The SPARK range does just this, offering a convenient rewards solution that should encourage more workplace recognition.”

Employees will receive a SPARK reward with a personalised message and can then use the log-in details printed on the back of the card or cheque to access a dedicated rewards portal online. Here they will be able to select their reward from an assortment of different products and gifts including favourite household brands. Different SPARK rewards allow access to different brackets of gift values in order that the appropriate level of reward can be offered to match the achievement.

There are no handling or administration fees, expiration dates or replacement fees for the employer and every SPARK reward is traceable, allowing administrators to track usage. Michael C. Fina manages the redemption of every reward and provides full support from its experienced customer service team.

Sheila Sheldon summed up: “SPARK rewards can be presented in an informal yet meaningful way that creates a memorable occasion and the gift that the recipient chooses will then act as a reminder of the celebration and gratitude that was expressed in the presentation from the employer.

“Incorporating a reward system such as this in the workplace helps to improve morale among the workforce while also incentivising employees to adopt best-practice principles in their daily routines.”
