I loved your April Fool story – ‘Darling buries recruitment charge in depths of Budget’ (Personnel Today, 1 April) – and, of course, nobody fell for it.
But here’s a not-so-foolish tip for companies quaking in their boots at the thought of having to pay candidates £200 to attend interviews – how about reducing the number of interviews?
