Staff at the Michelin tyre factory in Stoke-on-Trent are to be balloted on strike action after voting to reject a management pay offer.
More than 80 per cent of Transport and General Workers’ (T&G) union members voted last month to reject a 3 per cent rise.

The union, which has 400 members at the site, said the company had refused to improve its offer. However, a T&G spokesman said the union would continue with its negotiations for a better offer.
Michelin employs 1,500 people at its plant in Stoke-on-Trent.
