Bereavement

While there is no specific right in UK employment law to bereavement leave nor to time off to attend a funeral, giving employees time off to deal with the death of a loved one can demonstrate the employer's commitment to employees and make it an employer of choice.

Employees are entitled to take a reasonable amount of time off work for the care of dependants.
