Holidays and holiday pay

Under the Working Time Regulations 1998, full-time workers are entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks’ annual leave in each leave year.

The calculation of holiday pay has been a major issue for employers in recent years. The trend has been for courts and tribunals to find that more than just base pay has to be included in holiday pay. This includes regular overtime and commission payments.
