Selection interviews

The key purpose of a selection interview is to assess the skills, experience and general background of the candidate in order to make a decision on his or suitability for the job.

The employer should take steps to avoid complaints of discrimination arising from the arrangements for the interview or the nature of the questioning.

The employer should ensure that it makes adequate records of what is said at the interview.
