According to a survey of 1,527 adults from the Yorkshire Building Society (YBS), the most important traits men want in a wife are a desire to take care of the home (44%), cooking (39%) and cleaning (33%).
Additionally, only 9% of men surveyed thought they would not be able to cope financially if their partner was unable to work, and just 16% valued financial stability in their partner.
Finally, research that proves that Guru's expectations of Mrs Guru are not 'outdated', 'misogynist' or 'just blooming offensive'.
Better still, women appear more than happy to fulfil that stereotype, providing men go and work.
Women most valued good listeners (41%), financial stability (38%) and their partner being a great parent (27%), while barely one in 10 expected Mr Right to help clean the house.
Guru will forward these figures to Mrs Guru's Blackberry, so that when he gets home tonight, his dinner will be waiting, the kitchen will be clean, and there'll be no more talk about "going back to work".
Remember, disciples, statistics don't damned well lie. That's how the saying goes, right?
