Win £18,000 bursary to study at Henley

The newly launched MSc in Advanced HR Management is aimed at practising HR managers who are approaching senior or board level.

“The course puts HR in a business context,” said programme leader, Ken Bull. “It will develop HR generalists into confident HR business leaders operating at a strategic level within their organisations.”

Bull said the emphasis would be on “action learning”, where participants get the opportunity to work on real, live issues facing their organisations. “This highly practical focus means we can offer what the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification can’t,” he added.

To apply for the bursary, you should submit a 1,000-word essay on the following topic:

  • Based on your own experience and wider reading, what are the key skills for the HR practitioner of the future?

Send your application by e-mail to by 1 March 2007. Those who are shortlisted will be invited to an assessment day in mid-March.

The 16-month course is due to start at the end of April.
